TOP TIPS ON ALL THINGS WEDDING VIDEOGRAPHY!

Tell us about yourself and your business

My name is Kien Bennett and I have been capturing weddings over the South West of England for the past seven years. My work takes me all over the South and I love capturing new and unique wedding venues.

What are your top tips to a couple for choosing a Videographer for their wedding?

I would say to look at a few different style of Videographers and choose one that matches with your personal style and theme of your wedding day. If you are a light and airy couple, go with someone that matches that style. If you are after a dark and grungy themed wedding, choose someone that matches that.

Why would you recommend that a couple have a Videographer in addition to a Photographer?

It is good seeing the emotion and expression through video as well as what would be static from photographs. Ask your Photographer for good supplier recommendations; this will help form a good dream team which will help to capture your day perfectly.

What are your top tips to a couple for being comfortable in front of the camera?

I mainly focus in documentary style weddings so do as little posing as possible. If a couple is not as comfortable on camera when I arrive in the morning for bridal prep, I will normally try to make some jokes to put the Bride at ease in the morning.

Tell us about your favourite client wedding.

Over the years I have attended loads of fun and heartfelt wedding days. I don't have a favourite one that crosses my mind as they are all lovely. A fun wedding is a great wedding, just enjoy yourself and let your suppliers capture that.

How many client weddings have you been involved with?

Last year I managed to achieve my 500th wedding over seven years. That was a lovely achievement.
